According to the March 2011 AARP bulletin, a group called Center for Medicare Advocacy (CMA) has filed a lawsuit on behalf of an individual who was denied continuing Medicare coverage for physical therapy and services. Without continued services, the individual may be forced to go to a nursing home. CMA is trying to get class-action status for people all over the country who were denied Medicare coverage for long-term medical conditions such as multiple sclerosis, diabetic wounds or paralysis.
